Cancer Awareness Mammograms are a hugely important aspect of Breast
Cancer Awareness Month and is celebrated on the third Friday of
October every year. According to the CDC, cancer is the second
biggest cause of death among Americans. Breast cancer is among the
most common diagnosis in women, and screenings and exams are
crucial for early detection and treatment. The CDC runs the
National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program, which
provides low-income, uninsured, and underserved women with access
to screening and diagnostic services for breast and cervical
cancer.
